5 Cozy Things to Do in RDU This September (Perfect Solo or With Your Girls)

September in the Triangle has that just right feeling. The weather’s cooling down, the days feel a little slower, and it’s the perfect time to try something new with your girls (or even roll solo and make new friends along the way). Here are a few things happening this month that I’m excited about:

1. Raleigh Food Truck Rodeo – September 13

If you’ve never been, the Raleigh Food Truck Rodeo is the foodie event of the month. Fayetteville Street fills up with trucks serving everything from BBQ to vegan bites to sweet treats. Bring a blanket, grab your favorite flavors, and make a whole night out of it.

2. SIT Meet & Mingle @ Boxcar – September 13

I’m so excited for this one! SIT is heading to Boxcar Bar + Arcade in Durham for a fun night of games, laughter, and sisterhood. It’s the perfect way to connect if you’re new to RDU or just looking for more genuine friendships. You don’t have to come with a group, most women show up solo and leave with sisters.

3. Fall Equinox Day Retreat – September 21

If you’re craving a reset, the Fall Equinox Day Retreat is all about slowing down and finding balance. Expect yoga, meditation, nature walks, and time to reflect as we officially welcome a new season. It’s such a nourishing way to spend the day and perfect if you’re into wellness or just want to treat yourself.

4. First Friday Raleigh – September 5

Art, music, pop-ups, and good vibes all across downtown Raleigh. It’s a fun, low-key way to explore the city and support local creators. Grab a few friends or come solo and meet people along the way. There’s always something unexpected to see.

5. Live Music at Durham Central Park

Durham Central Park hosts free concerts throughout September and it’s the easiest way to spend an evening. Pack a blanket, grab snacks, and vibe out under the stars. It’s very “late summer girl era.” ✨

Final Thoughts

Whether you’re exploring food trucks, having a picnic at Dix, or joining us at Boxcar, there’s no shortage of things to do in RDU this month. The best part? You don’t have to do any of it alone.
